We Finally Made It! Forever Friends

By Regina Maria

How many times do we feel this way when we make it through something, maybe the week? A hard season? So many things can happen to keep us reaching for the something we can remember. Maybe it was a time that was less stressful? more fun? Less heartbreaking? More laughs? Less complicated? More peaceful? No matter the season we are in. It is so good to have those forever friends. Those are the friends who no matter how much or little you talk, they are there in a heartbeat. The ones who you may not talk to daily, but when you talk to them you haven’t missed a beat.

Forever friends. Sent by God to do His work. They help us through all seasons and are always there through it all. God places many people in our lives every day. But not everyone is a friend. Not everyone cares. The seasonal friends are the ones that blow in like the wind and are gone before the next storm. But a forever friend is always there. They are just a phone call away. They don’t get mad when life has made it difficult to stay in touch…life gets busy…but it doesn’t mean you love them any less. You can pick up where you left off like time hasn’t changed anything. These are the forever friends. The ones who came into your life for a reason and stayed through everything. A forever friend is steadfast, empathetic, joyful, selfless and faithful.

They are there in any weather and weather with you through every storm. So when we say we made it, we are never alone. Because God has sent your forever friend to help weather the storm with you. He made sure we wouldn’t have to get through the hardest times alone and He gave us our best friend. “Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble.” Proverbs 17:17Enter

Dear Heavenly Father- Thank you for the friendships I have made over the years. Friendship that never end, they just enhance my life and get me through the hardest of times. These friends feel like family and together we can get through everything and say “We made it!” In Jesus’ name. Amen.Enter
