ROCKMART, GA — Arrest warrants have been issued for a 27-year-old man accused in two separate double homicides reported Thursday evening in Rockmart. Daylon Delon Gamble is wanted on four counts of murder in connection to the grisly discoveries made around 8:01 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.

Rockmart police were called to investigate the two double-fatal shootings in the 500 block of Williams Street and the 300 block of Rome Street. Rockmart police were assisted in their efforts by three GBI regional offices, Polk County, Cedartown and Cartersville police departments, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office and the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force.

No other details about the two double homicides have been made at this time. However, the GBI said Gamble is also accused of shooting a fifth person, who was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.

Following the incidents, the GBI said Gamble stole a Ford pickup truck, but that vehicle has been recovered. Gamble is “considered armed and very dangerous and is actively being sought by local, state and federal authorities at this time,” the GBI said.
