Krog Street Market, Atlanta Ga

By Kenneth Stepp

A friend suggested I visit Krog Street Market. I feel like saying something juvenile, like, OMG! In the heart of Atlanta, they took an old giant warehouse, restored it, repurposed it, and made a trendy mall or as they call it, a marketplace.

If you are searching for unique, specialty creations. It was designed to be as authentic as the 1920’s warehouse it occupies. With market stalls to sell produce, goods, and prepared food, along with a few southern-grown restaurants and retailers, the market offers Atlantans a gathering place of sorts – a locale for taking in an extraordinary meal or picking up a few inspiring ingredients – a west coast-style market, right in the heart of Inman Park.

There were so many restaurants. Mostly healthy foods. I love finding quirky places like this. I ate at Gu’s Dumplings. They were, like the market, unique and some of the best I have ever eaten. If you live in the outer cities surrounding Atlanta, this is a must see experience. Parking is free and plentiful, everyone was friendly, and I saw foods I’ve never seen before. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back.
