Happy Thursday – Dodging Arrows- Some days it seems like we are dodging bullets. Satan is trying his best to get at us from every angle. He attacks when we are vulnerable; when our anxieties are high; when our defenses are low. He sneaks in and tries to get us to break. But we have something he doesn’t have, God on our side, who protects us, and reminds us that He is with us. He offers us a shield to fend off the wielding arrows being shot to bring us down. This is where our faith steps in. We, as believers, know that God allows certain things to happen in our lives. He allows Satan to test us.
So we have to put a suit of armor on every day. This suit of armor can extinguish all the flaming arrows Satan sends our way. The things that are meant to break us, can actually strengthen us. “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:16-17Dear Heavenly Father- Thank you for the gifts you have given us that strengthen us and protect us. Today I will remind others of your protection and your goodness. I praise you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
