Buying My First Home As A Single Woman In Columbus Ga

By Rhonda Morrison

So, I found myself divorced and in need of a home. The perfect home. Who would I call? The choices were many actually. My daughter went to school with a girl in Columbus who was now a Realtor. Dayna Greer, I’ve known her since she was a child. I gave her a call and the journey began.

It began with the parameters. I want a safe neighborhood as I’m alone now, I told her my budget, my desires, even my dreams of how my new home would function in my life. She listened to me, I knew she was working for me, not a commission. My confidence in her stayed high the whole time.

Dayna made the process easy and kept me in the loop on everything. If I sent her a house I liked, she would always find out the back story about the property. Honestly, she kept me safe from so many hidden problems. I don’t know what I would have done without her help.

In the end, she found me the perfect home. It’s a 1300 SF ranch, small private yard, quiet safe subdivision, and the little home of my dreams. Although I went to my bank for the loan, she went back and forth with my lender. The guy selling the house Kept trying to change things, but Dayna held the deal together.
