SNELLVILLE, GA — Snellville has a new city councilman to fill the unexpired term of Barbara Bender, who served Post 5. Earlier Sunday alcohol sales were also approved in a Tuesday’s special election.

Tod Warner earned more vote than Antonio Molina by a 200-vote margin. Warner received 844 votes while Molina received 641 votes.

Bender was appointed to the office of mayor earlier this year when former Mayor Tom Witts stepped down.
