Buca di Beppo – a Fabulous Experience!

By Lindy Earl

No matter how much someone tells you how great a restaurant is, you just can’t know until you go yourself.  The same person who told me about Buca di Beppo led me astray just a few weeks ago, so I was the slightest bit wary.

Upon walking into this Italian Restaurante it took seconds for us to be greeted and led to a table.  We had a lovely, circuitous tour of the restaurant en route to our table, through the kitchen! We were assured this route is taken for every guest.

Our incredible server, Daisy, was quick to greet us and eager to share information about the menu – all food is served family style and a la carte.  With just two of us, we chose a small order of Chicken Saltimbocca.

I admit, pictures have a great way of encouraging me to try a new dish.  The description sounded as good as the picture looked – lemon butter and artichokes over chicken and prosciutto – how can you go wrong?

You can’t!  The food was fabulous.  We could have ordered salad or veggies on the side, but after filling up on the warm and tantalizing bread, we didn’t see any reason to order more.  The portion was large enough for two of us and allowed for lunch the next day.

Our delightful server, Daisy, was so helpful and enjoyable that we asked to see a Manager, just to voice a compliment of how much we enjoyed our evening.  Again, it was amazing how quickly the gentleman appeared.

Buca di Beppo is not the least expensive restaurant I have reviewed, but it was worth every penny.  A simple dinner for two, with a libation, will run about $50.  It is worth saving to visit this restaurant where the incredible food is surpassed only by the amazing service.

Located at 2335 Mansell Road in Alpharetta, 30022, you will want to either visit Buca di Beppo soon, or have them cater your next event.
