ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) – Former Republican Rep. Karen Handel has announced she will be running for Georgia’s 6th District House seat in 2020, setting up a rematch with freshman Rep. Lucy McBath.
Handel announced the move on Twitter, asking supporters to “help us take back Georgia 6th district now!”
Her 90-second ad begins with a medly of quotes from Democratic women including Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ilhan Omar. McBath is not mentioned.
