CLEVELAND, Ga. – Georgia wineries continue to gain respect around the world, with several producing award-winning wines from grapes harvested right here in the Peach State. And this weekend, one of those wineries will celebrate the harvest with a day-long festival featuring food, music, wine, and bare feet!
The 9th Annual Crush Fest will take over Cleveland’s Yonah Mountain Vineyards on Saturday, August 25th, from 11 a.m to 7 p.m. Started in 2010 by winery owners Bob and Jane Miller, the annual event celebrates the annual Georgia grape harvest and draws crowds of more than 5,000 people each year to enjoy the full schedule of activities and 197-acre winery’s stunning views.
This year’s Crush Fest will include live music through the day, along with food trucks, an artisan market, and wine tastings. All that said, the main event is the traditional grape stomp, which involves men and women taking off their shoes and socks and stepping into the grape vat to help press out some fresh juice!
Admission to the event is $40 per person (with wine tastings) or $25 per person (without wine tastings), and children 16 and under are free.
