A recent survey conducted by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) reveals some eye-opening statistics in comparing costs in metro Atlanta to other cities across the nation. As an example, if you live in Atlanta and make $50,000 per year, you’d need to earn over $120,000 to maintain the same lifestyle if you moved to New York City. On the other hand, you would only need to bring in $45,700 per year if you moved to St. Louis. In either case, you would need to purchase boots, a heavy winter coat, gloves and a hat to deal with cold weather an snow. And if you purchased a house, you’d also need a snow shovel. and a strong back.
