GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – Police are investigating a murder at an apartment complex in Gwinnett County.
According to police, a woman was found shot to death at The Landmark at Bella Vista apartments on Club Place off of Satellite Drive in unincorporated Duluth. Investigators said her body was found inside the 2300 building early Tuesday morning.
The 911 call came in between 4:30 and 5 a.m. as a domestic dispute. Responding officers said they found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics took her to the hospital, where she later died.
Investigators haven’t released the woman’s identity but said she’s in her late 20s to early 30s.
Police believe the victim was inside a unit with an adult male. Some type of argument broke out, and that’s when the woman was shot. The male is in custody and is cooperating with investigators. No word yet on the relationship between the man and the woman.
Police said they aren’t looking for anyone else.
