Whitehall Tavern, Atlanta Ga

By Lindy Earl

The Buckhead area of Atlanta offers so many options of restaurants that it’s hard to choose where to eat.  The name Whitehall Tavern grabbed a colleague’s attention yesterday, so that’s where we went.

We took advantage of the beautiful weather to sit outside where there was ample seating.  Inside is a large, welcoming room.  We were greeted promptly in a friendly manner.  What a lovely start!

Our time at Whitehall Tavern only improved from there.  While Jackie sat us, we were quickly turned over to Nakia.  Both women were pleasant and Jackie was especially fun.  Good service is important at a restaurant, and Whitehall Tavern didn’t disappoint.

While Jackie told us that this Tavern is known for their burgers and wings, we opted for fish and chips and a Caesar wrap.  The food was served quickly and very hot.  The entrees were good, and I preferred my colleague’s fish over my wrap, but both were good.  We both had fries and wow, they were great!  This is coming from a person who is not a huge fan of French fries so I think that really says something.

The price of $23 plus tip for lunch for two in Buckhead seems very reasonable.  Whitehall Tavern, located at 2391 Peachtree Road in Atlanta, GA 30305, is open from 11am – 3am.  While we were there for lunch and drank nothing more than tea and water, it is a Tavern and offers an extensive beer list and a full menu.
