Standard At Roswell – a Restaurant Review

By Lindy Earl

There are dozens of eating establishments in Roswell.  You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting yet another trendy and fun place to eat – although I don’t know anyone who swings cats.

On this day we chose to eat at Standard At Roswell, so named because it was a Standard Gas Station when the building was erected in 1948.  An original gas pump remains in the restaurant.

Dallas Bond, the Proprietor and Manager, bought the restaurant in September of 2017 and started making changes.  Everything is now made in house.   Courtney was a charming server and took good care of us.

Specialties are Burgers and Tenders so we ordered one of each, both with a side of fries, as well as a pizza. The Standard pizza offers a garlic base with prosciutto, tomatoes, and basil. The pizza was amazing! The one dessert offered at this time is cheesecake, currently with an oreo topping.  Portions are large so plan on a to-go box when you order.

Half the seating is outside on their dog-friendly patio. Saturdays they are packed all day. The best time to go is Wednesdays so you’re sure to get a table.  Discounts are given to civil servants and free wifi is available.

Please know that Standard is located in Roswell, located at 994 Alpharetta Street, so parking is always an issue but Standard offers eleven parking places for patrons.
