Putz of the Week

Many members of the media have consistently proven themselves to be putzes (see definition below). We think they have gone unrecognized for too long. So to correct that situation, Georgia News Daily offers the “Putz of the Week” award. With so many putzes reporting the “news” it’s impossible to recognize all of them, so we’ll make nominations when we feel it’s appropriate or when a reader sends us a name to be considered.

Putz is a person who is a fool, an ass or a jerk- someone who does not contribute to society or a family. The plural is putzes.

If you’d like to nominate someone, or vote, send a comment with his or her name to admin@georgianewsdaily.com.

For the week beginning 5/25/2020, we have received a nomination of Chris Wallace, who recently elevated his putz status with a self-serving criticism  of White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
